The Isolated Voltage Acquisition Board can be used for isolated sensing of up to three voltages. Three identical non-inverting amplifier circuits, a small dsPIC33C microcontroller and three optocouplers are used to scale, digitize and transmit the sensed voltages across the isolation barrier.

Description

The board has been developed as a Plug-In Board (PIM) for the dsPIC33C Totem Pole PFC development platform. The three-phase AC line voltages, with reference to neutral, are sampled and the information is sent to the main PFC controller, which sits on the output voltage ground. The acquisition board is preprogrammed for this function, but it can be adapted for other applications by changing the firmware on the dsPIC33C.
